Terms and Conditions for Vehicle Rental by Glaros Rentals

Please read the terms and conditions carefully before proceeding with the vehicle rental.

Driver Age

• From 21 to 75 years old.

Minimum Rental Period

• 1 day.

Driver’s License

• For EU license holders: Must be valid and active for at least 2 years.
• For drivers outside the EU: An International Driver’s License is required with Latin characters and a photo of the driver unless there is a relevant agreement with Greece.

Fuel Policy

• The Same Level system applies. No refunds are provided for extra fuel.

Key Policy

• The responsibility for the keys lies solely with the renter.
• In case of loss, the replacement cost must be paid.

Traffic Fines

• The responsibility lies with the driver, who is obligated to pay the fine within the specified deadlines.
• Otherwise, the driver’s details will be provided to the relevant authorities for fine collection.

Payment Methods

• Accepted payment methods:
  • Cash
  • Bank transfer
  • Credit card
  • Revolut

Taxes

• A 24% tax is included in the rental price.

Rentals Outside Symi

• Not accepted.

Cancellation Policy

• In case of a reservation cancellation up to 20 days prior to the rental date, the full deposit amount will be refunded.

Transaction Security

All payments made via card are processed through the Alpha e-Commerce platform of Alpha Bank.
TLS 1.2 encryption with a 128-bit (SSL) protocol is used for secure information encoding.

Rental Benefits

• Unlimited mileage.
• Free delivery and pickup from the store or other points on the island upon agreement (excluding the Monastery of Panormitis).
• Child seats (upon agreement).
• Second driver included in the contract.
• Helmets for each scooter driver.

Vehicle Insurance Coverage

Third-Party Insurance

• Included in the rental price.
• Covers:
  • Death or bodily injury to third parties, including passengers.
  • Material damage to third parties (in accordance with Greek law).
• Does not cover:
  • Theft or attempted theft of the vehicle.
  • Theft of personal belongings.
  • Death or injury of the driver.
  • Damage to the rented vehicle.

Terms of Damage Waiver (C.D.W.)

• The renter is exempt from liability for vehicle damage if they accept the terms and pay an additional fee:

  • 5.00 € / day for Scooter categories.
  • 10.00 € / day for ATV and car categories.

• Conditions:

  • Driving according to the Traffic Code.
  • Liability for the cost of transferring the vehicle to the workshop and repair time.

• Not covered:

  • Tire destruction, wheel damage, and interior or undercarriage damages.
  • If the C.D.W. is not accepted, the renter is responsible for all damages.

The renter’s participation in the damage depends on the type of rented vehicle.
